Meet the Lawyers

SafeSign’s consumer rights lawyers and ethical AI engineers are the brains behind the first-ever AI (Artificial Intelligence) trained on consumer rights, watchdog reports, legal cases, internet commentary and T&Cs, and designed exclusively to level the contractual playing field, and to protect and promote the interests of consumers.

Jodi has always had a passion for consumer rights and has dedicated her life to fighting against the unequal and unfair nature of modern day contracting. She was a consumer advocate in Australia before moving to Oxford to complete her PhD in consumer law. Jodi is a Fellow of Law at St John's College, Cambridge and the Brian Coote Chair in Private Law at the University of Auckland. In both of these roles, she researches how to provide consumers with effective substantive rights and enforcement mechanisms to ensure better contracts and fairer outcomes.

Elliot Wright

I'm Elliot, I read Law at Cambridge with Sami before continuing on to complete an LLM at UCL, then becoming Safe Sign's first full time employee after getting involved. Having interned in a legal tech company previously, I was immediately interested in what Sami was describing, and having worked with him before at University I knew he was a man who fulfilled his visions. By using the power of legal AI for consumers we have the opportunity to revolutionize any number of industries, and give consumers the understanding that their providers do not. Gone are the days of obtuse, overly complex legal language being impenetrable to consumers when presented with terms and conditions, and a new type of competition between providers, to offer the best terms, is now possible. I am proud to have been part of this for the last year and can't wait to see where we go.

I graduated from LSE and qualified as a solicitor in the UK after training at Mishcon de Reya. I qualified as a California attorney and earned a distinction in an LLM in US tax law. After working for Baker and McKenzie in Hong Kong and the European Commission in Brussels, I worked for ten years at Sony Pictures Entertainment in Los Angeles. Now I am working for Safe Sign Technologies Ltd because I believe it is time for the playing field to be tipped in favor of the consumer.
